Oil & Gas / ROW
Oil and gas work puts ground disturbance close to high-consequence buried infrastructure, often on remote leases and long rights-of-way. Peak Locating supports producers, pipeline operators and their contractors with locating and field documentation where that work happens.

Field capabilities
Work is carried out to the client’s ground disturbance and site requirements. The focus is the same on every site: identify the buried infrastructure in the work area, mark it clearly, and record what was found.
- Lease and site locating ahead of ground disturbance
- Pipeline locating, including crossings and proximity work
- Right-of-way locating along pipeline corridors
- Lease abandonment and abandonment-related locating
- Depth-of-cover field work to support client programs
- Identification of buried lines and infrastructure on leases and facility sites
- Facility and above-ground feature documentation
Positioned records for leases and rights-of-way
On a lease or a long right-of-way, paint and flags don’t last and landmarks are scarce. RTK/GNSS capture ties located lines, crossings, depth-of-cover measurement points and above-ground facility features to position, so the results can be found again and loaded into the client’s GIS or CAD environment as KML, SHP or CAD-compatible data where required.
Depth-of-cover and facility information is delivered as field data. Interpretation, engineering assessment and integrity decisions remain with the client’s own qualified people.
Scope note. Peak Locating provides field locating, measurement and documentation. It does not own or operate pipelines, and does not provide engineering assessment, integrity analysis, engineering sign-off or regulatory approvals. Positional records are project documentation, not legal or engineering survey products.
