Safety & Quality

Locate quality is built, not assumed

Good equipment finds signals. Trained, assessed and audited locators working to documented processes turn those signals into locates that crews can trust.

Health & Safety

Locators work beside traffic, open excavations, energized equipment and live facilities. Safe work starts with understanding the site: its hazards, the client’s site requirements, and the personal protective equipment the work calls for.

Field work is planned and carried out with the client’s site safety requirements in mind.

  • Hazard awareness on every site
  • Work planned around client and site safety requirements
  • PPE appropriate to the site and task

Locator Training

Locating is a skill built through training and time in the field. Locators learn the equipment, the facility types, marking standards and documentation requirements.

  • Equipment and locating-method training
  • Marking standards and colour codes
  • Documentation and RTK/GNSS capture procedures

Competency Assessment

Training is only half of it. Locators’ competency to locate, mark and document to standard is assessed, and competency is reviewed on an ongoing basis rather than treated as a one-time check.

Field Auditing

Completed work is audited in the field. Audits compare the marks on the ground with the locate records and site conditions, verifying field quality where it matters — at the site.

Quality Assurance

Locate documentation and digital deliverables are reviewed for completeness and consistency with the field markings before they are issued. Where something does not line up, it is resolved before the client receives it.

Damage Prevention

Every service we provide comes back to one outcome: excavation that does not strike buried infrastructure. That means clear marks, honest reporting of what could not be located, and communication with the people on site.

Documented Field Processes

Documented field processes for how work is received, completed, recorded and checked help the same job come out the same way, whichever crew is on it.
